- 1st GET-A-PAN meeting in Paris, november 2025
To launch the network, a two day event will be held in Paris. This first meeting aims to present and discuss in a small selected committee the challenges that we encouter in appyling pangenomes techniques to problems and species that we study in the INRAE (high genomic diversity, high repeat contents, polyploidy...).
Following this event, a summary report will be published here.
- Participation to a mini-symposium dedicated to pangenome in JOBIM2025
Member from the network participated to the construction and the naimation of the mini-symposium "Methods for Interfacing with Graphs of Genomic Sequences: novel pangenome paradigms", in coordination with colleagues from the MIGGS network (CNRS, GDR seqBIMMM). Thanks to the JOBIM2025 committee to give us the chance to discuss pangenomes in this event.
We had the chance to listen to Jana Ebler, lead developper of the Pangenies genotyping method, which is based on pangenome graphs. Many PhD students also had the occasion to present their projects and posters via short talks. Finally, we lead a round table around the challenges that we face today in modelling genomes as graphs, and in their exploitation. This event was a good occasion to build national visibility for the scientific and methodological questions that are discussed within the GET-A-PAN network.
